Clinical Data Specialist

Job Summary:

The Clinical Data Specialist is responsible for the collection, management, and analysis of clinical trial data. This role ensures that data is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements, contributing to the successful completion of clinical studies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Collection and Entry:
   • Design and develop electronic case report forms (eCRFs) and databases for clinical trials.
   • Enter and verify clinical trial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
2. Data Management:
   • Maintain and update clinical trial databases, ensuring data integrity and compliance with protocols.
   • Implement and oversee data quality control procedures to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
3. Data Validation and Cleaning:
   • Perform data validation checks and clean data sets to prepare for analysis.
   • Ensure all data meets regulatory and protocol-specific requirements.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
   • Analyze clinical trial data to identify trends, patterns, and significant findings.
   • Prepare and present data reports, summaries, and visualizations for internal and external stakeholders.
5. Regulatory Compliance:
   • Ensure all data management activities comply with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA regulations, and other relevant guidelines.
   • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of data management processes and procedures.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
   • Work closely with clinical research teams, biostatisticians, and regulatory affairs to ensure seamless data flow and project alignment.
   • Communicate data management updates and findings to stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, data science, or a related field.
• Experience in clinical data management, preferably within the pharmaceutical or clinical research industry.
• Proficiency in data management software and tools (e.g., EDC systems, SAS, SQL).
• Strong understanding of GCP, FDA regulations, and other relevant guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Certification in Clinical Data Management (e.g., CCDM).
